Henry Posner III
Henry Posner III is a founding principal of Railroad Development Corporation. He entered railway service at Conrail, where he served in various operating, marketing, planning and sales positions.
Mr. Posner serves as Chairman of RDC; Chairman of Iowa Interstate Railroad, Chairman of Ferrovias Guatemala, a Director of ALL Central & ALL Mesopotamico (Argentina); and as Vice Chairman of The Hawthorne Group.
A graduate of Princeton University (BS-Civil Engineering), Mr. Posner also holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School.
He is a member of the Association of American Railroads' Security Working Group; a member of the Advisory Council of Princeton University's Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS); a member of the Transportation Research Board's Local & Regional Rail Freight Transport Committee; a member of the Board of Advisors of the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS); a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Pittsburgh's University Center for International Studies (UCIS); President of the Board of Trustees of the Winchester Thurston School; Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Estonian Railway Culture Foundation. He has lectured and published extensively on railway matters, with a particular emphasis on developing countries. He is active in welfare programs for the Jewish community in the Former Soviet Union and is the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International for his civic work in Guatemala.
He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French and Russian.
